POSITION IDENTIFICATION** * **Department:** Operations / Technical Maintenance. * **Reports to:** Maintenance Superintendent or Site Resident. * **Level:** Specialized Operational. **2\. POSITION OBJECTIVE** Physically execute preventive maintenance routines, technical cleaning, and fault repairs on vertical transportation equipment to ensure their availability and safe operation across various job sites. **3\. TECHNICAL FUNCTIONS (EXECUTION)** * **Cleaning and Lubrication:** Clean pits, car tops, and machine rooms; lubricate guide rails and mechanical joints. * **Mechanical Adjustments:** Inspect and adjust traction cable tension, floor leveling at landings, and door operator functionality. * **Electronic Diagnostics:** Use multimeters and service consoles to identify error codes in control boards and frequency inverters. * **Replacement of Parts:** Replace wear components such as brake shoes, rollers, relays, and proximity sensors. * **Response to Reports:** Attend technical failures or unusual noises reported during working hours. **4\. PROFILE REQUIREMENTS** * **Education:** Technical degree in Electromechanics, Industrial Electricity, or Mechatronics. * **Experience:** Minimum 6 months of field experience in elevator maintenance. * **Essential Technical Knowledge:** * Proficiency with hand tools and electrical measurement instruments (voltage, continuity, resistance). * Basic interpretation of electrical diagrams and manufacturer technical manuals. * Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for work at heights and electrical hazard environments. * **Specific Brand and Model Experience:** * **Otis:** Gen2 series (Life, Mod) and SkyRise systems. * **Schindler:** Models 3300, 5500, and 7000 line. * **Kone:** MonoSpace, MiniSpace, and EcoDisc traction technologies. * **ThyssenKrupp (TKE):** entara, latis, and evolution series models. * **Mitsubishi Electric:** NEXIEZ series (MR, S). * **MP Elevadores (Mac Puar):** MP GO! equipment and modernization solutions. **5\. OPERATIONAL COMPETENCIES** * **Manual Dexterity:** Ability to handle mechanical parts and wiring with precision. * **Sense of Urgency:** Rapid response to failures disrupting customer service. * **Observation:** Ability to detect abnormal noises or vibrations in equipment. * **Orderliness:** Maintain clean and organized work areas after each intervention. **6\. WORK CONDITIONS AND AVAILABILITY** * **Physical Effort:** Ability to climb stairs, carry replacement parts, and work in awkward positions inside the elevator shaft. * **Work Environment:** Offices, industrial facilities, or hospital installations. * **Schedule Availability:** **Full schedule availability** is required for responding to **technical emergencies** and after-hours calls, ensuring user safety at all times. * **Working Hours:** Standard site schedule with scheduled on-call shifts based on operational needs.
