




Position Summary: BIOFARMA LABORATORIOS is seeking an Analytical Methods Chemist to develop new pharmaceutical products with high quality standards. Key Responsibilities: 1. EDUCATION: Pharmaceutical Biologist, Chemistry Graduate, Chemical Engineer, Pharmaceutical Engineer, Pharmacy Graduate, or Biotechnology Engineer. KNOWLEDGE: a) Proficiency in pharmacopoeias FEUM, FHEUM, USP, and EP b) Knowledge of ICH guidelines, CCAYAC, NOM-059, and NOM-073 c) Knowledge of GMP, GDP, and GLP d) Advanced analytical chemistry e) Experimental design f) Operation of laboratory equipment (HPLC, UPLC, GC, Atomic Absorption, Dissolution Tester, etc.) g) Development, validation, and transfer of analytical methods h) Management of stability studies i) Handling of Out-of-Specification (OOS) and Out-of-Trend (OOT) results EXPERIENCE: 1 year within the pharmaceutical/supplement industry as an analytical development chemist, stability chemist, and/or quality control laboratory chemist. POSITION OBJECTIVE: Execute activities derived from the Analytical Development and Methods Department processes to achieve the development of new products meeting high quality standards. RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Conduct analytical evaluation of new raw material manufacturers 2. Plan, execute, evaluate, and report verifications/applicability tests for compendial analytical methods 3. Plan, execute, evaluate, and report analytical method development activities 4. Plan, execute, evaluate, and report analytical method validations 5. Plan, execute, evaluate, and report stability studies 6. Perform analysis, monitoring, reporting of results, and release decisions for raw materials, in-process products, and finished products 7. Perform analysis, monitoring, reporting of results, and release decisions for special analyses requested by other departments 8.
