Promoting dialogue and mutual trust DESCRIPTION Proman | GPO is a Mexican company and subsidiary of the Swiss-German holding Proman, a global leader in methanol and ammonia production. The Indigenous Communities Specialist is responsible for supporting the management of relationships between the company and Indigenous communities within the project’s area of influence. This position ensures that company activities are conducted in respect of Indigenous Peoples’ rights, promoting culturally appropriate dialogue, transparency, and mutual trust. The specialist will support the implementation of community engagement strategies, consultation processes, grievance mechanisms, and social commitment management, ensuring compliance with applicable legislation, corporate policies, and international human rights standards. In addition, the specialist will collaborate in identifying and managing social risks, monitoring commitments with communities and authorities, and developing community development programs. * Develop and implement engagement strategies with Indigenous communities within the project’s area of influence. * Support the preparation of social studies, community diagnostics, and social impact assessments. * Manage and follow up on community grievance mechanisms. * Support the preparation of internal and external reports on social performance. * Ensure compliance with international standards applicable to Indigenous Peoples, including ILO Convention 169 and IFC Performance Standard 7 on Indigenous Peoples. - Proman | GPO is a Mexican company and subsidiary of the Swiss-German holding Proman, a global leader in methanol and ammonia production. REQUIREMENTS * Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology, Sociology, Law, Community Development, Social Sciences, or related fields. * Minimum five (5) years of experience in social management, community relations, or work with Indigenous communities. * Experience in infrastructure, energy, mining, or industrial projects is desirable. * Knowledge of legal frameworks related to Indigenous Peoples and human rights. Knowledge of ILO Convention 169. * Knowledge of international standards such as IFC Performance Standards. * Experience in community engagement and social conflict management. v.
