Opportunity for team training and development **Role Summary:** Supervises and coordinates activities; verifies and maintains records of incoming and outgoing shipments; and prepares items for shipment: reviews shipping notices, orders, and other records to determine shipment priorities, work assignments, and required shipping methods to meet shipping and receiving schedules, using knowledge of shipping procedures and routes. **Responsibilities:** * Supervises and prepares incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, integrity, and condition of shipments. * Determines space requirements and placement of shipments in vans and trucks, and distributes shipment placement. * Determines truck routes and legal load limits according to established schedules and state weight limits. * Inspects loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications. * Checks all packaging materials to ensure sufficient stock is available. * Coordinates with production and quality control/quality assurance departments for organized, advance inspection of all goods ready for inspection. * Coordinates with raw materials and supplies department for production. * Communicates with internal customers regarding delivered materials. * Conducts monthly safety training. * Provides continuous team member training to improve job performance. * Assists the material receiver as needed. * Assists workers in shipping and receiving activities. * Maintains a high level of cleanliness and complies with SHEA policy. * Performs other duties as assigned. * Complies with SHEA policy and ensures subordinates also comply. **Requirements:** * Ability to work well under pressure while managing conflicting demands and tight deadlines. * Maintain commitment, proactivity, and positive attitude in challenging circumstances, taking ownership of assigned tasks and fully accountable for their success. * Work efficiently and productively both independently and as part of a team. * Communicate clearly using excellent written and verbal skills. * Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail. * Proficiency in standard MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). * Ability to lift 22 kg using appropriate lifting equipment and perform tasks while standing for extended periods. * SAP knowledge in materials management is required. * Prior experience in inventory, materials planning, or logistics. * Ability to operate a forklift and overhead crane. * Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 5–7 years of relevant experience.
