**MOLD TECHNICIAN**
Experience: Maintenance, adjustment, and repair of molds for the automotive industry; argon welding, oxy-acetylene welding, cold welding; machine tool operation; use of measuring tools; sandblasting; basic electricity; basic hydraulics; blueprint interpretation; proficiency in metric and imperial systems; mold steels; mold polishing; pneumatic tool operation.
**Shift rotation availability**
**Responsibilities:**
Execute preventive maintenance (cleaning, lubrication, and detection of potential failures), on-machine corrective maintenance, and workshop-based corrective maintenance — timely and accurately — to reduce downtime caused by mold failures in production areas.
**Responsibilities**
\- Perform preventive mold maintenance according to schedule, completing all activities specified in the preventive maintenance order, within standard timeframes.
\- Perform corrective mold maintenance according to work order requirements and technical data from mold blueprints, without altering product specifications.
\- Fabricate spare parts on lathe, milling machine, and grinder, within standard timeframes.
\- Eliminate flash from molded parts by applying argon, oxy-acetylene, and/or cold welding to the mold, followed by shaping and sealing, within standard timeframes.
\- Repair the product contour seal on the mold within standard timeframes.
\- Perform repairs and modifications on hot runner and/or cold runner injection systems of injection molds, per established conditions and/or blueprints.
\- Perform repairs and modifications on mold ejection systems — hydraulic, mechanical, and/or pneumatic — per established conditions and/or blueprints.
\- Carry out necessary adaptations to bring incoming molds into company standards.
\- Detect mold failures and/or operational issues and implement feasible solutions.
\- Perform on-machine repairs:
\* Cavity locking and unlocking.
\* Texture cleaning.
\* Clearing injection points.
\* Insert replacement.
\* Version change.
\* Lubrication.
\* Heating system.
\* Hydraulic system.
\* Mechanical system.
\* Mold safety system.
\* Cavity un-sticking.
\* Core un-sticking.
\* Adjustment of moving parts.
