For more information, visit www.cimmyt.org CIMMYT is seeking a dynamic, autonomous, and service-oriented individual for the position of Warehouse Assistant Supervisor within the Operations Unit of the BSD Program. This vacancy is located at CIMMYT’s headquarters in El Batán, Texcoco, Mexico, 45 minutes from Mexico City. **Key Responsibilities:** **Operational Support** * Ensure proper handling, receipt, and distribution of warehouse items in accordance with organizational policies and procedures. * Receive supplies and materials from the central warehouse using the Warehouse Management System (WMS). * Process and fulfill internal requests (daily inventory). * Accurately and promptly pick, prepare, and dispatch internal orders. * Deliver goods, equipment, and materials to various programs and departments. **Inventory Management** * Maintain accurate records of stock levels, monitor safety stock, and support inventory audits (cycle counts and annual inventories). * Organize, classify, and store items according to warehouse procedures. * Monitor expiration dates and ensure appropriate stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO). * Support safety stock control to prevent shortages. * Participate in cycle counts, annual inventories, and stock record reconciliation. **Compliance and Safety** * Ensure compliance with health, safety, and organizational standards, including equipment inspections and safe operations. * Carry out transfers between different warehouse locations. * Conduct daily inspections of forklifts and warehouse vehicles to ensure operational safety. * Apply and maintain the 5S methodology for workplace organization and efficiency. **Efficiency and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)** * Ensure achievement of warehouse KPIs, such as inventory accuracy, on-time delivery, and order picking performance. **Requirements** * Recent graduates with a completed bachelor’s degree in logistics, production systems, industrial engineering, or related fields. * Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and WMS. * Basic understanding of supply chain processes and stock rotation methods. * Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks). * Knowledge of safety standards and occupational health practices. * Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. * Computer literacy (MS Office, inventory systems, Excel). * Physical capacity to lift, move, and organize warehouse materials. * Basic English language proficiency (A1–A2). * The selected candidate must demonstrate the following competencies: Teamwork, Communication, Customer Orientation, and Attention to Detail. **Benefits** CIMMYT offers an attractive compensation package and professional development support.
