Utilize lean manufacturing to optimize operations **WHAT WILL YOUR RESPONSABILITIES BE?** * Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules and reports to successfully determine production requirements. * Strive to reduce expenses, increase productivity and to increase efficiency by setting ambitious production goals and communicate them to key personnel. * Establish workflow policies that enhance speed and efficiency without compromising product safety or integrity. * Provide motivation, support and guidance to production supervisors and monitor job performance. * Recommend or implement measures to motivate employees to improve production, performance, quality, efficiency and morale. * Confer with direct reports and subordinates to resolve worker problems, complaints, or concerns. * Communicate any problems or obstacles to senior management. * Maintain operations data such as time, production, and cost records. * Prepare management reports of production results. * Calculate labor and equipment requirements and production specifications using standard formulas. * Resolve internal and external resource challenges encountered during manufacturing \& product delivery process. * Utilize lean manufacturing principle in analyzing production, quality control, maintenance, and other operational reports, to detect production problems. * Assist SHEQ in promoting and monitoring Safety First initiatives and goals as stated in the MR Operational Policy throughout the organization. **WHO IS THE IDEAL CANDIDATE?** KNOWLEDGE / EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: * Bachelor’s Degree (four year college or university) * Technical School in the machinist or related trade is a plus EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: * 3 to 7 years’ experience in related field * Previous supervisory experience a plus * Computer skills – experience with manufacturing systems, Microsoft Office Suite COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS: * Excellent written/ verbal communication as well as presentation skills at all levels. * Demonstrate competency in the use of standard software applications * Ability to influence others to perform their jobs effectively and to be responsible for making decisions * Strong analytical, observation, and coaching skills coupled with initiative to create and embrace change * Must be able to work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures. * Excellent time management skills. * Ability to work well with others and as part of a team. * Innovative RNP
