Contributes to customer experience and promotion of reading **Blikon is seeking a Bookstore Manager in Lomas De Angelópolis Ii \- San Andrés Cholula, Puebla** ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ### **Job Title:** **Bookstore Manager** ### **Department:** **Bookstore** ### **Job Objective:** Supervise the store’s overall operation, including staff management, sales floor organization, inventory and sales management, and customer service. ### **Requirements:** **Education:** Completed high school diploma or incomplete bachelor’s degree in Humanities, Literature, Communication, or related fields. **Experience:** Minimum 1 year in bookstores, cultural venues, customer service, or sales. **Age:** 18 to 30 years old. **Gender:** Unrestricted. ### **Main Responsibilities:** * Manage the bookstore’s daily operations to ensure smooth functioning, profitability, and customer satisfaction. * Supervise, direct, and evaluate staff; organize shifts and daily tasks. * Ensure proper book storage, prepare warehouse orders, and monitor stock levels. * Design and organize product displays and window arrangements to optimize sales and inventory turnover. * Supervise cash reconciliation, manage revenue, and handle invoicing. * Provide customer assistance and advice, answer questions about products, and deliver a positive shopping experience. ### **PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IN:** * Customer service and sales in bookstores, publishing houses, or cultural venues. * Collection organization, classification, and inventory control. * Promotion of cultural or literary activities. * Point-of-sale systems and customer service. ### **REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE IN:** * Book classification and shelving (by genre, author, or theme). * Inventory and point-of-sale systems. * Customer service and basic sales techniques. ### **Skills and Aptitudes:** * Passion for and knowledge of reading and culture. * Excellent communication skills and courteous demeanor. * Ability to listen, guide, and recommend appropriate reading materials. * Organizational skills, attention to detail, and orderliness. * Responsibility, professional appearance, and proactive attitude. ### **Work Schedule:** **Morning Shift:** 8:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. **Evening Shift:** 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. **Rotating shifts** ### **Salary:** **$12,500 monthly** ### **Notes:** This position requires genuine passion for books and personalized customer service.
