




Summary: The Mechanical Design Engineer supports lead engineers in creating 3D CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and PLM/PDM data, performing tasks with supervision and coaching. Highlights: 1. Design of drawings, 3D parts, assemblies, and MBDs. 2. Support manufacturing and quality teams in improvements. 3. Develop skillsets focused on thermodynamics and fluid mechanics. The Mechanical Design Engineer will support lead engineers with the creation of 3D CAD Models, 2D and 3D Drawings, Bill of Materials (BOM) and PLM/PDM data. It is expected to perform tasks with supervision and coaching. Will support the team preparing for Design Reviews and if needed, preparing documentation for customers, engineering teams and executive teams. **RESPONSIBILITIES** * Design of drawings, 3D parts, assemblies, and MBDs. * Creation of BOM. * Design of piping. * Understand selections of materials and hardware. * Support manufacturing and quality teams in all the improvements. * Look for suppliers on components (Sheet Metal, hardware, fastening, HVAC, other). * Under mentoring, will develop skillsets focused on thermodynamics and fluid mechanics. To be applied on component selection and HX design. * **QUALIFICATIONS** * Mechanical Engineering knowledge * Sheet Metal design. * GD\&T * How to read, how to apply. * Knowledge of CAD. * PTC Creo is preferred. * Other qualifications, experience or certification is relevant. * Knowledge of PDM and PLM. * Knowledge of HVAC/R Systems and Components. * Desired expertise on Air Cooled Chillers. 3 years of experience in HVAC, industrial products industry is preferred * **PHYSICAL \& ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS** * When required to support factory operations, it will be needed to wear safety equipment (boots, gloves, sleeves, helmet, and safety glasses).
