Professional development in a continuous improvement environment Pasco Abrasives is an export-oriented manufacturing company specializing in the converting of coated abrasives for customers across North America. After completing our transition from California to Tijuana, we have operated in Mexico for 16 months and are now focused on strengthening our disciplines in production, quality, efficiency, safety, and on-time delivery. We are looking for a **strong, proven-leadership Production Manager** to lead our factory team of approximately **35 operators**. This is an excellent opportunity for a production leader who has already demonstrated strong results and seeks broader responsibility within a manufacturing operation. This position is ideal for someone who has led production teams, supervisors, and shop-floor operations—and who now seeks the opportunity to make a direct impact across the entire manufacturing operation. The primary focus of this role will be **Production, Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality**, including direct leadership of supervisors, production leaders, and operators. The Production Manager will also work closely with the Logistics and Planning Manager, who oversees import/export, planning, procurement, and customer service. Key Responsibilities * Lead daily production operations, including cutting, slitting, die-cutting, bonding, assembly, inspection, labeling, and packaging. * Manage and develop a factory team of approximately 35 operators, including supervisors and production leaders. * Drive the team to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly goals in production, quality, efficiency, safety, and on-time delivery. * Establish clear priorities on the shop floor and maintain consistent follow-up until results are achieved. * Collaborate closely with Engineering and Maintenance to improve machine availability, tooling, process reliability, and production flow. * Strengthen quality controls and ensure products are manufactured per specifications and customer requirements. * Identify bottlenecks, reduce downtime, improve labor productivity, and decrease waste and rework. * Implement practical improvements on the shop floor without adding unnecessary complexity. * Coordinate with the Logistics and Planning Manager on production schedules, material availability, customer priorities, procurement needs, and import/export timelines. * Build a disciplined, accountable, and results-oriented production culture. * Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and efficient workplace. * Support the creation and monitoring of standard work, training, procedures, and performance metrics. Requirements * Proven experience as a Production Manager, Production Supervisor, Senior Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Manager, or similar role. * Experience leading production teams, supervisors, and/or line leaders in a manufacturing environment. * Strong visible leadership presence on the shop floor. * Ability to drive team performance toward goals while maintaining respect, discipline, and accountability. * Experience improving productive efficiency, quality, on-time delivery, and labor productivity. * Practical problem-solving skills and ability to make rapid decisions. * Experience in converting, slitting, die-cutting, bonding, assembly, packaging, or similar processes is highly desirable. * Ability to collaborate closely with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, Planning, Procurement, and Customer Service. * Advanced English required * U.S. visa preferred due to occasional business needs.
