




Position Summary: This role ensures the recording, cost and expense control, and disciplined execution of the Procure to Pay (P2P) cycle, guaranteeing accounting and tax compliance. Coordinates with Treasury and Accounting The incumbent must ensure the recording and control of costs and expenses, as well as the disciplined execution of the Procure to Pay (P2P) cycle, guaranteeing accounting and tax compliance, while maintaining visibility into expenditures and robust internal controls. This role serves as the cost guardian and as a bridge between departments—and internally, between Treasury and Accounting. Key responsibilities (illustrative, not exhaustive) include: * Monthly recording and analysis of operating costs and indirect expenses, ensuring correct accounting classification. * Validation of compliance with the No PO/No Pay policy, tracking the full payment cycle, and reviewing invoices to ensure alignment among Purchase Orders (POs), receipt/invoice, and corresponding payment. * Performing monthly reconciliations of accrual accounts to ensure payment of outstanding invoices, scheduled payments, and clarifications, coordinating with Treasury on payment scheduling aligned with cash flow. * Coordinating with the fixed assets specialist to correctly allocate costs to CapEx / CIP, distinguishing capitalizable expenses from operating expenses. * Executing and documenting key P2P cycle controls (SOX-ready), ensuring segregation of duties, proposing process improvements, standardization, and automation. * Performing month-end closing activities related to costs, expenses, and accounts payable—including accruals. * Preparing reconciliations, analyses, and supporting documentation for month-end close, and generating management reports on accounts payable, accrued costs and expenses, and variances—aiming to provide actionable information. * Periodically reviewing the department’s checklist to ensure completion of all listed activities. **Work Experience** * Experience with Mexican and U.S. tax regulations: 1–2 years * Experience with purchase order processes: 1–2 years * Advanced proficiency in Excel formulas and functions: 2–4 years * Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks/PBCSA/Netsuite): 1–2 years * General accounting knowledge: 2–4 years **Required Competencies:** * Strong analytical and data collection skills * Sense of urgency: Intermediate * Change management: Intermediate * Decision-making: Intermediate * Customer service: Intermediate * Strategic vision: Intermediate * Results-oriented: Advanced * Effective communication: Intermediate * Integrity and ethics: Intermediate * Teamwork: Intermediate * Leadership: Intermediate **Position Requirements:** * Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting * Languages: Intermediate English * Others: Valid visa and passport Employment Type: Full-time Salary: $28,000.00 – $33,000.00 per month Benefits: * Option for an indefinite-term contract * Major medical expense insurance * Life insurance * Additional vacation days or paid leave * Meal vouchers Education: * Completed bachelor’s degree (Mandatory) Work Location: On-site employment
