Inventory Control Technician

Position Summary: Responsible for planning and executing cycle counts, verifying inventory movements, identifying variances, and maintaining material control on the shop floor. Key Highlights: 1. Intermediate ERP and Excel proficiency Job Responsibilities and Details * Plan and schedule cycle counts. * Perform physical counts and record data. * Follow up on inventory adjustments with documentary support. * Verify system transactions (receipts, issues, transfers). * Identify causes of variances: scrap, rework, data entry errors, etc. * Compare results against existing records and analyze root causes of discrepancies. * Maintain order and material control on the shop floor (locations, identifications). * Train staff on counting and inventory control procedures. * Ensure compliance with SGC procedures. * May create, under supervision when necessary, and modify SGC documentation. * All duties inherent to the position. Perform similar and/or related tasks as instructed by the immediate supervisor to contribute to achieving departmental goals and objectives. Experience and Requirements * Technical degree or incomplete/completed engineering degree. * Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related field. * Minimum one year of experience in a similar role. * Strong communication skills at all levels. * Teamwork orientation. * Problem-solving ability. * Intermediate Excel proficiency. * ERP system usage experience. * Material handling experience.
