Responsible for receiving, labeling, storing, and controlling the distribution of hazardous materials at the facility, as well as treating process wastewater, in accordance with internal procedures and applicable official regulations. * Receipt, labeling, storage, transfer, and distribution of hazardous chemicals. * Inventory control of hazardous chemical storage areas. Internal collection of hazardous and special-handling waste. * Sorting and shipping of scrap metal. Receipt, labeling, storage, and transfer of hazardous waste. * Process wastewater treatment. * Receipt, labeling, storage, and transfer of special-handling waste. * Used sand recovery. * Storage of reagents in the S-35 controlled storage area. Logbook recordkeeping (wastewater treatment, S-35 controlled storage, waste storage movements, exit passes). * Preparation of solutions for alkaline cleaning tanks. Removal of sludge from alkaline cleaning tanks and water rinsing. Labeling of waste containers.
