Equitable employment opportunities for all. **Job Description** --------------------------- The assistant is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to food and beverages. This position requires individuals with strong attention to detail, a strong commitment to customer service, along with positive and friendly behavior. This position will maintain cleanliness of equipment and the meal service area. **Job Responsibilities** -------------------------------- * Prepare a variety of meals according to production instructions and standardized recipes. * Set up the workstation with all required ingredients and equipment. * Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, cutting, trimming, and peeling food items. * Safely use a variety of utensils, including knives. * Organize, garnish, and portion food according to established guidelines. * Accurately store food following food safety policies and procedures. * Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils. * Maintain excellent customer service and positive conduct toward guests, customers, and coworkers. * Comply with Aramark safety policies and procedures, including food safety and hygiene. * Ensure the security of company assets. To meet our objectives, job duties may change or new ones may be added without formal notification. **Qualifications** ------------------- * Prior food service experience preferred. * Adherence to all company policies and procedures regarding safety, security, emergencies, and energy. * Reporting to work on time and in full uniform. * Knife handling and various cooking techniques. * Maintaining scheduled cleaning of equipment and facilities. * Strong customer service skills and interpersonal abilities. * Must be flexible and willing to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays. This position may involve physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or walking and standing for extended periods.
