Position Summary: We are seeking a General Accountant to lead the Accounting Department, overseeing recordkeeping, financial statements, tax matters, and ensuring tax compliance and accuracy of financial information. Professional development within an environment of responsibility and ethics. **Position Profile:** General Accountant **Position Title:** Accounting Manager **Reports To:** General Management **Personnel Under Supervision:** Yes (1\) (Accounting Assistant) **Gender:** Unrestricted ***Age***: 30 to 45 years **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Public Accounting or related field. ***Preferred:*** Reside in the Northern Zone of Cuernavaca **Experience:** Minimum 3–4 years in general accounting (preferably with hospitality industry experience). ***Technical Knowledge:*** * Mexican Financial Reporting Standards (NIF). * Mexican tax legislation. * Federal and state taxes. * IMSS, INFONAVIT, SUA, IDSE. * Budgeting and financial control. * Internal auditing. **Responsibilities:** * Supervise the hotel’s income and expense accounting records. * Review and approve accounting journal entries. * Prepare and submit monthly financial statements. * Manage accounts receivable (OTAs, travel agencies, corporate clients) and accounts payable. * Supervise daily revenue (night audit, cash reconciliations, till closings). * Perform bank reconciliations. * Coordinate calculation and payment of taxes (SAT). * Supervise payroll in coordination with Human Resources. * Support internal and external audits. * Monitor budgets and analyze variances. * Implement internal controls to prevent fraud or deviations. **Accountabilities:** * Tax compliance with SAT. * Accuracy of financial information. * Control of fixed assets and inventories. * Confidentiality of financial information. * Compliance with accounting and administrative policies. **Skills:** * Leadership. * Numerical analysis. * Organization and planning. * Decision-making. * Honesty and professional ethics. * Working under pressure.
