Position: Warehouse Coordinator Job Description The Warehouse Coordination unit is responsible for managing, controlling, organizing, and coordinating the food service warehouses supporting the Tren Maya railway transportation system. Its function is to maintain operations at the highest level of efficiency across the four warehouses located along the Tren Maya network, in coordination with their respective Warehouse Managers. The position is based at the Tren Maya Mérida-Teya station warehouse, with availability to travel occasionally to other warehouses to supervise and ensure their efficient operation, thereby guaranteeing proper supply to trains along the route. Essential experience includes warehouse management, logistics, supplier control, inbound and outbound operations, and personnel management. Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards, as well as real-time conflict management and resolution, is required. This position coordinates with Warehouse Managers and serves as an intermediary between warehouses and administrative and executive departments, as well as the liaison between company administration and military train personnel regarding food supply matters. Responsibilities: - Remote supervision and organization of daily warehouse operations in coordination with respective Warehouse Managers, including personnel management, inventory control, goods receipt and dispatch, and compliance with safety and efficiency standards. Requires leadership, organizational, communication skills, and knowledge of logistics processes, inbound/outbound operations, supplier control, and procurement to ensure optimal warehouse performance and fulfillment of company needs. - Supervision and coordination of various warehouse teams through respective Warehouse Managers; assignment of tasks; staff training; assurance of adequate warehouse stock levels to supply sales teams; and compliance with regulatory and safety procedures. - Conduct physical and periodic inventories; maintain up-to-date stock records; and ensure appropriate supply of items. - Coordination of train boarding crews, roles, and sales control. Key Responsibilities: - Organize product receipt, storage, and dispatch efficiently and safely. Serve as liaison between train crews and administrative and executive departments, ensuring clear and effective communication. - Manage cargo loading and unloading, supervise handling, and guarantee correct distribution. - Ensure compliance with safety regulations and worker integrity. - Maintain equipment and facilities in full operational condition, complying with applicable safety and hygiene regulations. - Prepare reports and analyze management indicators to evaluate warehouse performance and propose improvements. - Collaborate with other departments—including procurement, executive management, legal, and operations—to ensure timely product flow.
