Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Shop Manager to oversee fleet maintenance, lead technical teams, and optimize operations. Key Highlights: 1. Manages preventive and corrective maintenance of fleets. 2. Leads and trains mechanical technician teams. 3. Manages inventories and optimizes maintenance costs. **1\. Education and Experience** * **Education:** Mechanical, Automotive, or Industrial Engineering, or related field; Diesel Mechanics Technician with extensive experience. * **Experience:** Minimum 3–5 years in shop supervision or management roles, preferably in public transportation, bus, or heavy-duty truck fleets. * **Technical Knowledge:** * Heavy-duty diesel engines. * Hydraulic systems, transmissions, and air brakes. * Electronic diesel engine diagnostics (using scanners). * Preventive and corrective maintenance of vehicles. **2\. Key Responsibilities** * **Fleet Management:** Ensure buses undergo preventive and corrective maintenance to prevent breakdowns on routes. * **Personnel Supervision:** Lead, motivate, and train mechanical technicians. * **Inventory Control:** Manage stock of spare parts, lubricants, and tools to avoid downtime. * **Safety and Cleanliness:** Maintain order, cleanliness, and compliance with safety regulations (PPE usage) and hazardous waste handling (oils, filters). * **Administrative Management:** Prepare budgets, maintenance cost reports per km, and track service orders. * **Schedule Availability. **3\. Competencies and Soft Skills** * **Leadership:** Ability to lead work teams under pressure. * **Decision-Making:** Skill to prioritize urgent repairs. * **Results-Oriented:** Focused on reducing costs and repair times. * **Effective Communication:** For interacting with suppliers, drivers, and management. **4\.
