Job Summary: We are seeking an Android Development Engineer for the G4S project with experience in Java and Kotlin to develop new mobile application features and resolve incidents. Key Highlights: 1. Collaboration to maintain and improve the technical quality of the code The Android Development Engineer for the G4S project is a computer engineer with experience in Android mobile application development using Java and Kotlin. Primary responsibilities include developing new customer-requested features and fixing incidents found in production environments. **What would your responsibilities be?** * Participate in the development process following agile methodologies. * Join calls with customers and various development teams to clarify/agree on actions to be taken. * Development of new functionalities. Delivery of fully agreed-upon functionality within short timeframes directly to the customer. * Incident resolution in the system. * SQL database design and database manipulation. * Modification of existing database structure. * Collaborate to maintain and improve the technical quality of the code. * Develop new functionalities and analyze problems in production environments involving software and hardware interaction. * Stay up-to-date and continuously prepare. **Requirements:** * Computer Systems Engineering degree or related field. * 4–5 years of demonstrable experience in Android mobile application development. * English proficiency level at least C1. * Native **Android programming.** * Desirable but not mandatory: knowledge of **Java, Kotlin, Retrofit or Volley libraries.** * Experience writing unit tests **(JUnit, Android Test, Espresso)** * Design and consumption of REST APIs. * Working with the Linux operating system. * Experience with open-source **SQL databases** (PostgreSQL, MySQL). * Availability to conduct on-site visits at customer facilities. **Required Competencies:** * Clear technical communication skills, collaborative work with design teams, and focus on solving complex problems. * Analytical mindset and ability to deduce complex issues. * Ability to concentrate under pressure. * Willingness to perform tasks across different roles. * Curiosity for learning; self-taught capability. * **Interest in growing within a small, expanding company.** **What do we offer?** * Hybrid work model. * Flexible working hours. * Paid time off. * Statutory benefits. * Base salary: $36,000 per month We would be delighted to have the opportunity to grow together!
