We are a 100% Mexican company, proud of our values — therefore, we invite you to join our team as: JOB PROFILE: PURCHASING MANAGER \- HOTEL WITH RESTAURANT Position: Purchasing Manager Department: Administration / Procurement Reports to: General Manager / Administrative Manager Supervises: Purchasing Assistants, Warehouse Staff (if applicable) Schedule: Full-time (with availability according to service needs) Location: Santa Rosa Area JOB OBJECTIVE Ensure timely and efficient procurement of all supplies, materials, and services required for the operation of the hotel and restaurant, guaranteeing optimal quality-to-price ratio while meeting the company’s quality, cost, and timeline standards. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Procurement Management: Place purchase orders for products and supplies for the hotel and restaurant. Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers. Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, price, delivery time, and reliability. Inventory Control: Coordinate with warehouse and kitchen to maintain appropriate stock levels. Supervise physical inventory and product rotation. Prevent overstocking and expired items, especially in food and beverage areas. Tracking and Receiving: Verify that deliveries are made on time and as specified. Ensure received goods meet required quality standards. Coordinate with operational departments to validate specific requirements. Administration and Documentation: Maintain up-to-date records of purchases, contracts, and suppliers. Generate purchase reports and expense forecasts. Comply with internal procedures and cost-control policies. Interdepartmental Coordination: Collaborate with kitchen, maintenance, housekeeping, front desk, and administration. Address special requirements for events, banquets, or peak seasons. JOB REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Accounting, Hospitality, Gastronomy, or related field. Experience: Minimum 2 years in procurement roles, preferably in hotels, restaurants, or hospitality companies. Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in procurement systems and ERP software. Basic knowledge of kitchen, cleaning, maintenance, and stationery supplies. Basic knowledge of inventory control. Familiarity with local and national supplier markets. Skills and Competencies: Supplier negotiation and management. Organization and planning. Attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure. Integrity and reliability. Results orientation and cost optimization. Languages (desirable): Intermediate English (reading labels, basic communication with foreign suppliers). PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs) Purchase order on-time fulfillment rate. Cost reduction percentage compared to previous periods. Percentage of received goods without errors or returns. Internal operational departments’ satisfaction level. Optimal inventory turnover rate.
