




Job Summary: We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead a maintenance team, ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and achievement of plant objectives. Key Highlights: 1. The responsibilities of this position include: Ensuring the functional and operational efficiency of your team to achieve the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) established for your area and aligned with those of the plant (Safety, Morale, Productivity, and Cost). Lead your team to provide predictive, preventive, and/or corrective maintenance services to equipment within your area, ensuring safe, reliable, and lowest-cost operations. SAFETY / HEALTH / ENVIRONMENT * Manage and guide your team in applying and interpreting existing plant policies, principles, values, rules, procedures, and safe practices applicable to your area. * Responsible for implementing the Environmental Management System applicable to your area of impact, ensuring your team understands and properly applies it. * Lead and/or participate in Safety, Health, and Environmental Incident Investigations, and prepare reports timely and accurately. * Correct unsafe conditions identified in your area through your personnel and follow up on actions taken (Safety Leadership). * Comply with all MIQA (PSM) regulatory requirements during implementation, management, and execution of inspection and testing programs within your area of responsibility. * Maintain high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness in your areas of responsibility. MORALE (PERSONNEL) * Maintain effective and continuous communication with your team and with Operations Facilitators. * Set performance standards for your staff based on KPIs for your work area and monitor compliance. * Conduct periodic evaluations and provide feedback to personnel under your supervision. * Ensure compliance with and participate in designing the training/development program for your personnel. * Collaborate and work as a team with operational and support departments to resolve problems and schedule activities. PRODUCTIVITY * Manage and execute maintenance activities within your area of responsibility to maintain high equipment reliability. * Analyze equipment failures to develop and implement action plans to prevent recurrence and meet the plant's Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) targets. * Promote Chemours-defined best maintenance practices within the execution of the mechanical integrity program for your area of responsibility. * Promote adherence to the Operational Discipline Process during daily maintenance tasks/activities performed by maintenance personnel reporting to you. COSTS * Establish a cost reduction program to ensure compliance with the Total Maintenance Cost budget assigned to your area of responsibility. * Optimize contractor personnel involvement in maintenance activities within your area of responsibility. * Prepare and adhere to the annual and monthly maintenance budgets. REQUIREMENTS * Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering * Spoken and written English proficiency at 80% * Minimum 5 years of experience in similar positions * Experience with predictive maintenance techniques, blueprint interpretation, and knowledge of design, operation, and maintenance of rotating machinery (centrifugal pumps, compressors, and speed reducers), as well as stationary equipment (atmospheric tanks, pressure vessels, and heat exchangers).
