Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced retail procurement leader to define and implement procurement strategies, negotiate with suppliers, and manage teams—focused on optimizing inventory and profitability. Negotiates commercial terms with key suppliers Main Responsibilities * Define and implement category-based procurement strategy (groceries, perishables, and general merchandise). * Negotiate commercial terms with suppliers (prices, rebates, promotions, payment terms). * Ensure optimal inventory levels and turnover in stores and distribution centers. * Analyze key business metrics: sales, margin, inventory, fill rate, and coverage. * Develop and strengthen national and local supplier networks. * Coordinate assortment planning, promotions, and product launches jointly with commercial and operations teams. * Lead and develop the procurement team, ensuring achievement of departmental objectives. * Identify opportunities for cost improvement, operational efficiency, and profitability. Requirements * Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Business, or related field. * Minimum 7–10 years of procurement experience in retail, supermarkets, or consumer goods. * Proven experience leading procurement teams. * Experience negotiating with suppliers and managing categories. * Knowledge of inventory management, margin analysis, and commercial KPIs. * Prior experience in food and grocery sectors is desirable. * Willingness to reside in Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas.
