Drive Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen initiatives **ALTEN Mexico is seeking to integrate a Senior Manufacturing Engineer / Industrial Engineer into its team**, responsible for leading optimization and production line improvement initiatives in assembly and manufacturing environments. This position combines advanced process analysis, layout design, and shop-floor leadership to enhance efficiency, quality, and production flow. The engineer will participate in and lead strategic projects focused on process optimization, productivity enhancement, and Lean transformation within demanding industrial environments. **Job Objective** Lead the analysis, design, and implementation of production line improvements to optimize material flow, operational efficiency, and productive capacity, ensuring sustainable results aligned with business objectives. **Key Responsibilities** **Process Analysis and Design** * Lead analysis of current layouts, cycle times, WIP, and production flow to identify improvement opportunities. * Design and develop future-state layouts focused on operational efficiency and capacity growth. * Conduct line balancing, capacity, and throughput optimization studies. * Develop layout models and process flow analyses to support decision-making. * Analyze production data and define strategies to improve operational performance. **Implementation and Shop-Floor Leadership** * Lead implementation of production line improvements and ensure proper execution. * Coordinate shop-floor activities to validate processes, changes, and new line configurations. * Design and optimize workstations, tools, and ergonomic solutions. * Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, waste reduction). * Serve as liaison among production, quality, and engineering to ensure process stability and efficiency. **Technical Leadership and Continuous Improvement** * Guide and support junior engineers in project analysis and execution. * Define work standards and best manufacturing practices. * Participate in strategic industrial transformation and optimization projects. * Ensure sustainability of implemented improvements through KPI monitoring. **Requirements** **Academic Qualifications** * Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or related field. **Experience** * 5–8+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, processes, or continuous improvement. * Solid experience in manufacturing, assembly, or industrial production environments. * Experience leading process optimization or production line improvement projects (preferred). **Technical Skills** * Advanced knowledge of manufacturing processes and production line optimization. * Proficiency in **Excel** (data analysis, capacity planning, KPIs). * Experience with design tools: **CREO**. * Proven experience in **Lean Manufacturing (5S, Kaizen, continuous improvement, waste reduction)**. * Experience with systems such as **Oracle and TeamCenter**. * Knowledge of line balancing, takt time, and capacity analysis (highly valued). **Professional Competencies** * Strong **analytical thinking** and decision-making ability. * **Technical leadership** and ability to guide teams or junior profiles. * Excellent **communication** with operational and engineering teams. * **Results orientation** and commitment to continuous improvement. * High adaptability and strong presence on the **production shop floor**. **Benefits** We offer: * + Base salary + Major Medical Expense Insurance (including dental and vision plans) + 15 days of year-end bonus (aguinaldo) + 25% vacation premium + 12 vacation days (starting from the first year) + Social security + Profit-sharing (PTU) + Bi-weekly grocery vouchers
