Position Summary: We are seeking a civil engineer or architect to design and prepare joist fabrication drawings, provide post-assembly consultation, and manage materials. Key Responsibilities: 1. Joist drawing design and preparation 2. Post-assembly consultation and issue resolution 3. Material and procurement volume management Prepare fabrication drawings for any type of joist to ensure proper functionality/assembly according to client requirements, based on the SJI standard. Provide consultation or resolution for post-assembly issues. Requirements: 1 year of joist design experience using Tekla Civil engineer or architect Joist calculation Identification of reinforcements Load table No transportation restrictions Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM ACTIVITIES Receive and review the client's basic engineering drawings Draft clear and understandable emails to request information. Prepare BOMs for joists and joist accessories Generate material procurement volume summaries. Design joists in JADE software using design loads provided by the client Release assembly and shop drawings for joists and joist accessories Salary: $10,000.00 - $16,000.00 per hour Benefits: * Major medical expense insurance * Life insurance Work Location: On-site employment
