Determine how food should be presented and design decorative food displays. Ensure portion sizes, arrangement, and decoration of served food are appropriate. Monitor the quantity of food prepared. Inform Food and Beverage service staff about rejected items and special menu dishes. Prepare special meals or substitute items. Assist cooks and kitchen staff with various tasks. Provide cooks with necessary supplies. Monitor kitchen inventory and food stock. Maintain kitchen records to comply with food safety and food product programs. Ensure food quality and notify management if any item fails to meet specifications. Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees. Comply with all company safety and policy procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to management; and complete safety training and certifications. Ensure uniforms and personal appearance are neat and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; and protect company assets. Address guest service needs. Communicate with others using clear and professional language. Cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with others; support the team in achieving common goals; listen and respond appropriately to concerns raised by other employees. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards. Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods. Reach above the head and below the knees, including bending, twisting, turning, and stooping. DESIRABLE SKILLS Education: Diploma from a technical, trade, or vocational school. Relevant Work Experience: 4 to 6 years of related work experience. Supervisory Experience: At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
