Real-field impact in strategic coffee operations. **Position: Coffee Processing and Procurement Manager – Coffee Operations** * Location: Chiapas (position requires constant mobility across various zones and operational units within the state, including Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Jaltenango, Yajalón, Huixtla, among others) * Work Mode: On-site * Employment Type: Full-time * Schedule: Monday to Friday, with availability during harvest season and operational mobility as required by operational needs **MUST-HAVE: Proven experience in green coffee and/or specialty coffee, specifically in coffee procurement, processing, purchasing, or settlement.** **(Candidates without direct coffee experience will not be considered.)** At Olam Agro México—a global agro-industrial company—we seek a Coffee Processing and Procurement Manager with hands-on operational experience in coffee to lead procurement, receipt, settlement, control, and inventory management—ensuring traceability, quality, and compliance throughout the harvest operation. **Job Objective** Comprehensively coordinate coffee processing and procurement operations—from purchases from producers and suppliers through storage and shipment—guaranteeing operational and administrative control and accurate system updates. **Key Responsibilities** **Coffee Procurement and Procurement Operations** * Procure green coffee (parchment and cherry) directly from producers, intermediaries, and coffee organizations. * Provide direct field support to producers and suppliers, including visits to communities, collection points, and processing facilities. * Identify, develop, and retain specialty, conventional, and certified coffee suppliers. * Develop and strengthen coffee supply chains, considering volumes, quality standards, and harvest windows. * Analyze the coffee market, reference prices, and local and regional competition. * Propose region-specific, quality-based, volume-based, and harvest-period-based procurement strategies. * Administer, monitor, and propose credit terms, advances, and deposits against coffee for the unit. **Processing and Warehouse Operations** * Receive, weigh, sample, and settle green coffee per established guidelines. * Validate received quality versus contracted quality (moisture content, yield, defects, and physical grain condition). * Manage warehouse operational control—including bags, pallets, and physical inventories. * Coordinate logistics for coffee transfers between units, processing facilities, and warehouses. * Prepare and maintain monthly inventories of coffee and bags. * Ensure traceability from producer to shipment, complying with customer requirements and certifications. **Administrative Management of Coffee Operations** * Enter purchases, price fixings, advances, and deposits into the system. * Manage exchange rates and market references for correct supplier pricing. * Prepare and analyze risks associated with coffee advances and deposits. * Control and reconcile supplier balances and coffee accounts. * Manage, obtain, and validate fiscal invoicing arising from coffee purchases. * Review, validate, and sign operational reports, insurance policies, and unit closings. * Finalize settlements with suppliers based on quality, volume, and agreed terms. * Prepare bag inventory and stock reports. * Record and manage payroll incidents for operational staff (receivers and harvest support personnel). * Estimate regional and supplier-level harvest volumes based on field visits and historical performance. **Required Profile** Education: Completed bachelor’s degree or engineering degree (agro-industrial, business administration, accounting, or related field).
