Job Summary: Responsible for creating and fabricating objects from drawings, applying technical knowledge to produce parts according to specifications. Key Highlights: 1. In-depth knowledge of die manufacturing and its components. **Overview:** Use Calibri 18 font here **Responsibilities:** Responsible for creating or fabricating objects (e.g., cups, tanks, sinks, pedestals, bidets, etc.) from drawings, sketches, or blueprints, applying all relevant knowledge to produce parts meeting the aforementioned specifications. 1\.\- Must develop master molds based on a model, according to process requirements. 2\.\- Master molds shall be fabricated in ultracal to prevent deformation during die production. 4\.\- Must consider how the die will be constructed when fabricating the master mold. 5\.\- Must consider primary variables in the ceramic process, such as wall thicknesses, radii, etc. 5\.\- Must possess foundational knowledge of die manufacturing, as dies will be produced based on the master mold and process requirements. 6\.\- Use of resins and urethanes: strict adherence to resin manufacturers’ instructions is required to avoid poorly fabricated dies caused by improper hardener application. 7\.\- The person fabricating a die must know in advance how many components it will consist of. 8\.\- The model maker must be qualified to fabricate any type of die—e.g., for sinks, bidets, toilets, urinals, or accessories such as polyurethane rests, etc. **Requirements:** A.\- Must interpret drawings and apply knowledge in model development—including symmetry and shrinkage allowances due to the specific manufacturing process. B.\- Knowledge of the metric decimal system and the imperial system, including conversions between them. C.\- General concepts of modeling, draft angles for demolding, application of maximum and minimum corner radii, and use of tools for model fabrication.
