Position Summary: We are seeking an Analytical Chemist to ensure optimal equipment operation, validate results, and perform laboratory tests, including sample collection and clinical correlation. Key Responsibilities: 1. Ensure optimal equipment operation and test performance 2. Validate, report, and release laboratory results in a timely manner 3. Perform cross-testing and quality sample collection MAC Ags Norte Hospital is seeking: · Analytical Chemist Responsibilities: Ensure optimal equipment operation and test performance Validate and report results Notify critical values Properly use laboratory reagents and materials Perform cross-testing according to blood bank guidelines Collect samples ensuring quality, from patient preparation, collection, conditioning, to delivery to the technical area Confirm that test orders entered into the system match those requested by the physician or patient and are correctly input into the laboratory information system for processing Review and release results promptly, performing clinical correlation with other laboratory tests Confirm alert values and notify the attending physician, on-call physician, nursing staff, and/or patient as applicable Complete required logs, forms, or procedures in the area necessary for quality assurance Education: Bachelor's degree in Clinical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, or Microbiology and Parasitology.
