Summary: This role supports FTR trading strategies by building and owning analytical network models, evolving them for congestion trading and shaping trading strategies. Highlights: 1. Contribute to algorithm development, directly shaping trading strategies 2. Design and run contingency and scenario tests to evaluate network impact 3. Improve data pipelines and build automated solutions for large-scale simulations **Job Description** ------------------- To support FTR trading strategies by helping build and own our analytical network models. * Learn and run our network models for ERCOT and SPP. * Run contingency and scenario analyses with guidance from the team. * Help validate model inputs and clean data. As you grow into the role: * Maintain and evolve the network models used for Bravos’ congestion trading. * Design and run contingency analyses and scenario tests to evaluate the impact of network changes, planned outages, and new transmission facilities. * Work closely with transmission analysts and software developers to improve data pipelines and build automated solutions for large\-scale simulations. * Compare model results to actual market results, track the causes of errors, and propose improvements. * Identify and quantify risks related to changing grid topologies, load patterns, and renewable integration. * Contribute to algorithm development, directly shaping our trading strategies. **Candidate Requirements** -------------------------- * Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field * The ability to write code to solve problems * Solid math fundamentals **Selection Process** --------------------- The selection process is carried out through Aira \- a recruitment platform designed to improve your application experience.
