Descripción y detalle de las actividades The Customer Quality Engineer will be supporting the Americas sales team by providing technical expertise on the company’s product portfolio of automation components, mainly Solid State Relays and Motor controllers. He/She will be responsible for developing a strong technical link between the sales team and the R\&D department. **Responsibilities:** **Technical Expertise and Support** * Develop a good technical understanding about the company’s products and the applications where they are used. * Provide guidance and expertise to the sales team on technical issues. * Be able to build test setups in laboratory to simulate customers’ applications. * Providing feedback about customer\-used cases to the R\&D department. **Claims Analysis and Trouble Shooting** * Analyze parts returned from field with the scope of finding the root cause of failure and follow with possible corrective or improvement actions with local quality department or customer application depending on the nature of failure. * Perform root cause analysis using methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why’s, or Ishikawa. Travelling to visit customer sites may be required according to the business needs in order to understand new customer applications or trouble shooting problematic sites/applications. Experiencia y requisitos **Requirements:** * Holds an electrical or electronics engineering degree or equivalent. * Strong technical writing skills. * Strong communication skills. * Fluency in English is a must. * Familiarity with quality tools: 8D, 5 Why’s, Pareto, FMEA, considered an assent. * Ability to work in a team. * Self\-motivated and ability to work on his/her own without constant supervision. * Any experience in a similar position will be considered as an asset.
