**Purpose:**
Responsible for the raw material purchasing activities that sustain the manufacturing process and for the planning activities that include the creation and sustaining of the production plan while working with a cross\-functional team to meet the customer’s needs.
**Responsibilities:**
**Purchasing:**
* On a daily basis review and analyze purchase requisitions to generate purchase orders for raw materials that meet the MRP requirements.
* Follow up for supplier’s acknowledgement for every purchase order.
* Ensure timely delivery of purchase orders and follow up with suppliers on late orders.
* Maintain purchase orders’ delivery date, quantities and unit price updated.
* Analyze prices
* Maintain the VMI and Kanban system for applicable suppliers.
* Provide a forecast for the suppliers that require it.
* Develop and maintain effective relationships with vendors and suppliers.
* Provide the applicable documentation to quality for the incoming inspection process.
* Ensure that invoices are paid and work with accounts payable
* Monitor inventory levels at the warehouse .
**Planning:**
* On a daily basis review and analyze planned orders to release production orders that meet the MRP requirements.
* Schedule production orders based on demand, raw materials availability, resources and installed capacity and maintain the production plan updated based.
* Ensure that the production plan meets the customers’ requirements and sustain the established replenish strategy based in the Brady’s global planning standards.
* Measure schedule attainment and follow up with production, engineering, quality and any other function to reach the goal.
* Monitor the appropriate use of the schedule attainment boards.
* Maintain production orders’ finish date and quantities updated.
* Manage expedite requests.
**General:**
* Monitor the applicable KPIs for the role as: OTD,
* Follow the defined standard work for the role.
* Adhere to Brady’s quality system and the Brady’s good manufacturing practices.
Experiencia y requisitos
**Desired:**
* Experience in SAP purchasing, planning and material master parameters.
* Proficient in Microsoft, Excel.
* APICS CPIM certification.
* Lean manufacturing certification or relevant work experience using lean tools.
* Ability to lead a cross\-functional team.
* Demonstrated strategic vision and enthusiasm
* Bachelor degree in supply chain management, engineering, business or related field.
* 5\+ years in a planning and purchasing role in a manufacturing setting.

* Experience in purchasing: PO creation and management, import process, receipt and accounts payable.
* Experience in supply chain management, inventory control and E\&O.
* Experience in a highly dynamic manufacturing environment.
* Experience in a make\-to\-stock and make\-to\-order production and inventory strategies.
* Ability to track and monitor relevant KPIs.
* Experience with MRP / ERP systems.
* Intermediate use of Microsoft Excel.
* Bilingual (Spanish \- English)..
