The AI Data Engineer plays a critical role in designing building and maintaining data pipelines and infrastructure to support AI and machine learning initiatives. This position bridges the gap between data engineering and AI development ensuring that high\-quality scalable and secure data solutions are available for advanced analytics and AI models. **Responsibilities** * Design develop and optimize data pipelines for AIML workflows. * Integrate data from multiple sources (structured semi structured unstructured) into centralized repositories. * Implement data preprocessing transformation and feature engineering for machine learning models * Collaborate with data scientists and AI engineers to ensure seamless data flow for model training and deployment. * Maintain data quality governance and compliance with security standards. * Develop and manage real\-time and batch data processing systems. * Monitor and troubleshoot data infrastructure performance and scalability. * Stay updated on emerging technologies in AI data engineering and cloud platforms. * Required Qualifications * Bachelor degree in Computer Science Data Engineering or related field. * Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python SQL and Scala. * Hands\-on experience with PySpark for distributed data processing. * Experience with ETL tools data pipelines and workflow orchestration (e.g. Apache Airflow Luigi). * Expertise in big data technologies (e.g. Spark Hadoop) and cloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP). * Familiarity with GitHub for version control and collaborative development. * Knowledge of data modeling data warehousing and database systems (SQL and NoSQL). * Familiarity with machine learning concepts and AI frameworks. * Strong understanding of API integration and data security best practices. **Preferred Qualifications** * Master degree in Computer Science Data Engineering or related field. * Experience with MLOps and model deployment pipelines. * Proficiency in containerization and orchestration (Docker Kubernetes). * Knowledge of streaming technologies (Kafka Flink). * Familiarity with data versioning tools (DVC) and feature stores. * Proficiency in Databricks for collaborative data and AI development. * Strong knowledge of Snowflake for data warehousing and analytics. * Exposure to generative AI LLMs and vector databases. * Strong problem\-solving skills and ability to work in cross\-functional teams. **Why Cognizant?** Improve your career in one of the largest and fastest growing IT services providers worldwide Receive ongoing support and funding with training and development plans Have a highly competitive benefits and salary package Get the opportunity to work for leading global companies We are committed to respecting human rights and build a better future by helping your minds and the environment We invest in people and their wellbeing.
