Use and handling of precision measuring instruments **Date:** Apr 29, 2026 **Location:** Ciudad Juarez, CHH, MX, 32599 **Company:** Hubbell Incorporated Job Overview The quality inspector must ensure product conformity and process stability through technical inspection, first-piece release, and monitoring of production stages, acting as a critical filter to prevent non-conforming material from advancing along the value chain. A Day In The Life * Process Release: Perform "First Piece" release at critical stations: Turrets, Laser, Bending Machine, Welding, Painting, and Assembly. * Dimensional Inspection: Validate that parts meet drawing specifications using precision measuring equipment. * Non-Conforming Material Control: Identify, segregate, and label defective material, immediately notifying involved departments. * PPM Management: Capture and analyze daily defects for updating parts-per-million charts. * Engineering Support: Collaborate with the Quality Engineer on root cause analysis and execution of Kaizen events for continuous improvement. * Standards Audit: Verify that operational personnel follow current visual aids and instruction sheets. What will help you thrive in this role? * Minimum 6 months to 1 year of experience in similar roles (Quality Inspector, Process Auditor, or Metrology Technician) within the metalworking or manufacturing sector. * Education: Completed high school (mandatory) or Technical/Incomplete Engineering degree (Industrial, Mechanical, or related field). * Technical Drawing Interpretation: Reading of drawings, basic symbology, and tolerances. * Metrology: Use and handling of measuring instruments (Caliper, Micrometer, Tape Measure, Height Gauge). * Computer Skills: Basic to intermediate level (Excel for control charts and reporting). * Quality Standards: Use of visual aids, work instructions, and operation procedures. * Soft Skills: Communication and negotiation: Ability to assertively communicate rejections to production and negotiate containment timelines. * Decision Making: Data-driven and technically grounded. **Hubbell Incorporated** Hubbell creates critical infrastructure solutions that power our customers, communities, people and the planet.
