Your mission as a Database Administrator (DBA) As part of the Technology – Data and Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for the administration, integrity, and performance of database ecosystems supporting highly critical operations in Mexico City. The environment consists of a hybrid architecture where relational engines (PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server) coexist with NoSQL solutions. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring information remains consistently available, secure, and optimized—actively participating in cloud migration and process automation projects. Your key responsibilities will include: Database Operations and Administration: Ensure availability, performance, and scalability across environments (Production, QA, and Development). Execute installation, configuration, upgrade, and patching tasks. Manage schemas, tables, indexes, and users, guaranteeing data integrity. Optimization and Tuning: Perform performance issue diagnosis and resolution (query tuning, index optimization, execution plan analysis). Proactively monitor resource consumption (CPU, RAM, I/O) and propose capacity planning. Business Continuity and Security: Design and oversee Backup & Recovery strategies, ensuring compliance with defined RTOs and RPOs. Configure and maintain high-availability and disaster recovery (HA/DR) environments. Implement security policies, data encryption, and access control per banking/corporate standards. Automation and Continuous Improvement: Drive automation of recurring tasks using scripting (Bash, Python) and tools such as Ansible. Collaborate with development teams on data model review and deployment improvements (Database Change Management). Reporting and Documentation: Maintain up-to-date technical documentation of the database architecture. Produce system health reports and performance KPIs. WHAT WE OFFER?
