Work with multidisciplinary teams in resource and risk management. **ALTEN Mexico** is seeking a **Project Engineer / Project Manager** to join a multidisciplinary team focused on managing and executing capital investment projects and engineering studies onsite. **Position Profile:** You will be part of a team responsible for planning and executing engineering and infrastructure projects, covering the entire project lifecycle—from definition to onsite closure. You will coordinate technical and administrative activities, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, quality standards, and EHS regulations and guidelines, as well as supervising contractors and participating in supplier tender processes. You will work with multidisciplinary teams, supporting resource and risk management, financial control (OPEX/CAPEX), and progress reporting, within a results-oriented, safety- and quality-focused environment. **Responsibilities:** * Lead capital projects and engineering studies from definition through to onsite closure. * Define scope, cost estimates, schedules, and technical documentation. * Monitor timelines, budget, deliverables, and project performance. * Ensure compliance with technical, regulatory, and EHS standards. * Supervise contractors and onsite activities. * Participate in supplier tender processes. * Implement project control tools (TPM, KPI, Lean, Six Sigma). * Manage risks, resources, and corrective actions. * Control and report project status and budget (OPEX/CAPEX). Coordinate communication with internal and external stakeholders. * **Requirements** * Completed degree in Engineering or related field (Bachelor’s or higher). * 8–10 years of experience in engineering and maintenance within office and laboratory environments, including management of multidisciplinary resources. * Proven experience in capital, engineering, or construction project management. * Knowledge of project management tools such as TPM, KPI, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and project controls. * Experience in developing project scopes, cost estimation, technical documentation, and budget control. * Understanding of financial concepts such as OPEX and CAPEX, and proficiency with tools like SAP. * Experience in contractor management and supervision, and in supplier tender processes. * Familiarity with engineering and construction regulations, and EHS guidelines. * Experience in risk analysis, hazard studies, and process optimization. * Ability to manage stakeholders and communicate effectively in multidisciplinary and multicultural environments. * Project Management certification or coursework desirable.
