Position Summary: Responsible for ensuring customs compliance, managing permits, and optimizing import/export operations for a mold manufacturing company. Key Highlights: 1. We pride ourselves in offering the highest level of quality, customer service, and tool design capability. **Position Overview:** * Develop, maintain, and update internal control and trade compliance operational procedures to ensure full compliance with the IMMEX program regulations. * Responsible for preparing Maquiladora permits such as PROSEC, Rule 8, and any other government permits related to operations. * Monitor and interpret international trade regulations, including import/export laws, tariffs, and sanctions. * Provide support regarding tariff engineering or sourcing options to minimize applicable tariffs. * Evaluate opportunities to facilitate trade profitably and compliantly (e.g., trade agreements, tariff refunds, trade preference programs, etc.). * Assist in developing systems, procedures, and work instructions for export shipment processing, with a focus on continuous process improvement. * Supervise relationships with customs brokers. * Coordinate preparation of customs documentation for brokers in the United States and Mexico. * Supervise and execute all Pedimento activities (including Standard Import/Export, ProForma, and Virtual Pedimentos) and corrections to ensure compliance with the Secretariat of Economy (SE) and correct regime assignment. * Ensure physical and digital recordkeeping and control of all import/export activities and related tax files comply with SAT customs law. * Assist in data reconciliation, supervise imports and exports, and manage registration of new customers in IMMEX. * Establish and supervise an inventory control process aligned with Annexes 24 and 31 requirements, including machinery and accessory inventory management. * Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with compliance standards. * Control and reduce import/export costs, including taxes, and maintain updated key performance indicators (KPIs). * Provide training on customs processes and regulations to the team, stay informed about legal changes, and conduct regular audits for compliance assessment and improvement suggestions. * Collaborate with other departments to streamline customs procedures and improve operational efficiency across the organization. **Competencies:** * Bachelor’s degree in Customs or related field * English proficiency level: 80% * Knowledge of the Customs Law, Annex 31 and Annex 24 * Knowledge of SAT, VUCEM * Knowledge of advanced tariff classification systems * Preparation of legal reports * INEGI reports * 3 years of experience in this position * 3 years of experience in the maquiladora industry Employment Type: Full-time, Indefinite-term Salary: Starting at $1\.01 per month Benefits: * Option for indefinite-term contract * Major medical expense insurance * Life insurance * Cafeteria service * Grocery vouchers Work Location: On-site employment
