Supervise overall operations across all store areas, serving as a role model for your team.
Provide necessary direction and feedback to employees under your supervision to coordinate proper execution of store operational processes, fostering an optimal work environment and delivering excellent service to our customers.
* Authorize damaged and non-damaged returns resulting from defective merchandise, incorrect employee recommendations, or catalog errors—always placing the customer first and guaranteeing their full satisfaction.
* Ensure all parts and products are located in their assigned positions within the store and that physical inventory matches system records, executing flawless weekly inventory maintenance tasks.
* Supervise store operational activities as a role model, ensuring employees provide expert customer guidance and utilize all available tools—including AutoZone’s electronic catalog and diagnostic and testing equipment—to deliver reliable advice and genuine solutions to our customers’ needs, thereby helping prevent merchandise returns through this practice.
* Identify subordinates’ strengths and areas for improvement to assign appropriate tasks, recognize strong performance, and provide feedback when opportunities for development and training are detected.
* Supervise daily adherence by all employees to their scheduled work hours and AutoZone’s dress code, ensuring respectful, courteous, and professional interactions among themselves and with our customers—fully applying AutoZone’s guidelines and values.
* Review and analyze the Profit & Loss (P\&L) report during each reporting period to identify cost-control opportunities and contribute to their improvement by promoting a culture of savings across all controllable expenditures within the team.
* Assign and monitor area supervisors’ tasks—including planogram setup, merchandise placement, warehouse cleaning, restrooms, cafeteria, sales floor, and parking lot—as well as review daily cash counts for the main register, perform cash sweeps, and conduct cash register closings for supervised staff, following AutoZone-provided procedures.
* Supervise and ensure employees wear AutoZone-provided safety equipment—including belts, gloves, aprons, and goggles—when handling merchandise, performing vehicle tests, or working at in-store test stations, helping prevent workplace accidents and ensuring a safe environment for our employees.
* High school diploma
* One to two years of experience as a supervisor in retail, warehouse, or store environments
* Flexible availability for scheduling
