**Production and Operational Control Coordinator** **General Information** * **Position:** Production and Operational Control Coordinator * **Reports to:** Manufacturing Plant Manager * **Department:** Operations / Production * **Direct Reports:** No direct reports initially. * **Position Objective:** Ensure daily monitoring, control, and coordination of production and project progress at the plant, guaranteeing operational visibility, adherence to priorities, timely risk identification, and correct execution of the production schedule, directly supporting the Manufacturing Plant Manager in the administration and operational control of production areas. **Key Responsibilities** * **Daily Production Monitoring:** Monitor daily progress of projects across all production areas. Verify compliance with the production schedule. Identify delays, bottlenecks, and delivery risks. * **Cross-Area Operational Coordination:** Coordinate operational flow among metals, wood, painting, assembly, packaging, facilities, engineering, procurement, and warehousing. * **Operational Planning and Control:** Update and manage the production schedule. Prioritize work orders according to operational needs and track adherence to delivery dates. * **On-Site Supervision and Control:** Conduct daily walkthroughs of production areas to verify actual progress, detect deviations, and ensure proper operational communication. * **Document Management and Control:** Prepare monthly production and delivery reports, administer checklists, and generate operational KPIs. * **Operational Improvement:** Propose improvements to controls, monitoring processes, operational flow, and visual management tools. **Problems to Solve:** Production delays, stalled orders, incomplete information, lack of cross-area monitoring, late deliveries, and loss of operational control. Required Profile * **Education:** Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Process Engineering, or related field. * **Experience:** 2–5 years in manufacturing, production monitoring, or operational coordination. * **Technical Knowledge:** Intermediate-to-advanced Excel, production scheduling, operational KPIs, and production order control. * **Key Skills:** Organization, consistent follow-up, effective communication, problem solving, and sense of urgency. Indicators (KPIs) Production schedule adherence, on-time deliveries, reduction of delays, accurate progress updates, and pending items control. Position Authority **May:** Request progress updates, coordinate authorized priorities, escalate operational issues, and convene rapid follow-up meetings. **May Not:** Modify strategic priorities without authorization, approve purchases, or impose disciplinary sanctions. First 3-Month Goals **First Month** * Understand the operational flow * Learn active projects * Integrate with area supervisors * Initiate basic controls **Second Month** * Update progress daily * Implement the tracking dashboard * Detect risks before delays occur **Third Month** * Conduct daily monitoring independently, without full reliance on the manager * Maintain reliable KPIs * Coordinate operational meetings * Reduce the manager’s administrative workload **Work Location**: Plant located at José Clemente Orozco 62, Col.
