**JOB DESCRIPTION:**
Job Summary:
Ensure material flow from warehouse to assembly or machining lines according to the production schedule, following departmental policies and established plant procedures. Maintain inventory accuracy by executing correct and timely transactions in the SAP/ERP system. Apply 5S methodology to keep all areas orderly and compliant with established standards. Strictly follow all EHS recommendations to ensure personal well-being, that of the entire team, and the company.
Essential Functions:
* Supply materials to assembly and/or machining lines according to the production schedule, fulfilling at least one order ahead or visually checking for missing materials.
* Report damaged or unsuitable materials that cannot be issued to production.
* Assist in maintaining materials in optimal condition on the production line.
* Ensure that materials are in proper condition during physical movement, including: correct part number, accurate quantity, absence of damage or contamination, and no mixing.
* Replace packaging as required, including identification labels.
* Report inventory discrepancies identified while performing assigned responsibilities.
* Conduct daily inspections of assigned equipment used to perform the job (RF gun, racks, and forklifts).
* Perform scheduled inspections/audits for assigned racks and forklifts, reporting damages or repairs per procedure.
* Execute timely and accurate transactions in the SAP system.
* Comply with applicable QS\-9000 and ISO\-14000 requirements for the Materials Department.
* Ensure adherence to FIFO (First In, First Out) — issue the oldest stock first — to guarantee proper material flow.
* Immediately notify the supervisor of any anomalies or special cases.
* Use email appropriately and communicate effectively per assigned area.
* Review and correct negative inventory balances in the system for assigned work areas.
* Maintain the warehouse clean and well-organized per 5S standards.
* Comply with company-established safety rules.
* Comply with procedures established by the Plant and Department.
* Participate in Annual Physical Inventories.
* Participate in Kaizen Events.
* Support PSA activities and procedures with team members.
* Employees have the authority to stop the production line upon identifying a product quality issue or defect.
* Perform all other duties required by the nature of the position.
Management and Supervisory Responsibilities:
* This position does not supervise other employees.
Knowledge:
Computer literacy and knowledge of SAP or another ERP/MRP system.
Experience:
* Minimum six months of material handling experience.
* Must be over 18 years of age (requirement for forklift license).
Skills:
* Dynamic individual with immediate adaptability to process changes in systems.
* Accustomed to working under pressure.
* Availability to change shifts.
* Flexible schedule, willingness to work overtime when required, and shift changes.
Education/Certifications:
* Completed secondary education and valid forklift license.
