Check for obvious damage and segregate items requiring special handling. * Open containers according to work instructions or supervisor instructions. * Load and unload materials onto pallets, trays, or shelves, manually or using forklifts or other material-handling equipment. * Load materials onto carrier vehicles and install straps, binders, or logistics bars (chocks) to prevent material movement or transit damage. * Accurately complete shipping and receiving documents per ProTrans specifications using the barcode scanner. * Count, weigh, and record the number of units of material handled or moved in the PTI system. * Ensure proper identification. Mark all shipments and apply appropriate labels, including special material handling instructions. * Coordinate transportation requirements. Address any special material-handling issues.
