




**Position: Chef – Étranger Restaurant (Condesa Neighborhood)** At Étranger Restaurant, we are seeking a chef committed to quality, technique, and teamwork to join our kitchen team and support food preparation and service under high operational standards. **Main Responsibilities:** * Prepare daily mise en place for proteins, side dishes, sauces, stocks, and cold and hot kitchen bases. * Execute dish production and cooking according to standardized recipes, techniques, and specified weights. * Plate dishes during service, ensuring presentation, temperature, and consistency. * Control portion sizes to guarantee cost and quality standardization. * Verify freshness, quality, and temperature of ingredients. * Record daily production, leftovers, and shrinkage. * Maintain cleanliness and order at the station, equipment, and utensils during and after service. * Comply with hygiene, food safety, and temperature log protocols. * Coordinate with kitchen and service teams to meet dish delivery timelines. * Support events, inventory counts, and deep cleaning of assigned areas. * Report equipment malfunctions to the appropriate department. **Requirements:** * Technical diploma or bachelor’s degree in Gastronomy or related field. * Minimum 1 year of experience in hot kitchen operations in restaurants. * Knowledge of cooking techniques: grilling, frying, ovens, sautéing, braising, and stewing. * Proper handling of knives and utensils. * Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety. * Organization, operational discipline, speed, and attention to detail. * Teamwork and effective communication. * Food hygiene handling certification preferred. **We Offer:** * Competitive salary commensurate with experience. * Statutory benefits. * Job stability and an excellent work environment. * Opportunities for professional growth. **Work Location: Condesa Neighborhood, Mexico City** Position Type: Full-time Salary: $10,000.00 – $12,000.00 per month Benefits: * Complimentary uniforms Workplace: On-site employment
