The Executive Chef possesses passion for cooking and enthusiasm for nurturing and developing a dedicated team of chefs and cooks. The Executive Chef is capable of controlling labor, food costs, and operational expenses. They develop creative menus and food promotions and oversee their execution. They are responsible for the daily operation of the kitchen department, ensuring appropriate supervision; efficient, organized, safe, and hygienic work areas; and delivery of the highest-quality products to guests and staff. Essential Functions * Enthusiastic, creative, and open-minded leader with a focus on business development. * This person must value team development and possess the ability to foster team growth. * Ability to innovate culinary experiences within the community. * Exceptional understanding of relevant trends and ability to act upon them. Ability to be the Hotel’s public culinary face. * Coordinate the selection, training, development, and evaluation of kitchen division employees and managers to ensure adherence to established cultural and foundational standards. * Outstanding leadership qualities and ability to maximize kitchen staff talent. * Ability to collaborate with the F\&B team to design effective menus and amenity offerings while ensuring excellent product quality and customer value. * Ability to attract and retain local talent in a competitive market and support their development and growth. Knowledge and Skills Education * Bachelor’s degree in Gastronomy/Tourism or related field. **Experience:** * Three to five years of experience. Skills * Ability to read, speak, and write in Spanish. * Ability to read, speak, and write in **English**. * Understanding and familiarity with hotel quality and service standards. * Highest level of integrity and transparency. * Apply an ethical approach to resolving situations. * Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills. * Reasonable problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills. * Practical knowledge of culinary operations, equipment, and tools. * Work safely, prudently, and in an organized manner. * Leadership experience.
