Combining a deep systems knowledge to develop unique vehicle access experiences, intelligent visions systems and advanced automotive lighting technologies, MML's expertise light the path to innovation, safety and styling. **Job Responsibilities:** * Administers, coordinates and, when necessary, implements accounting systems that serve the organization's needs. * Provides technical support and services to operations managers by interpreting accounting reports and financial statements, and initiating actions where financial conditions justify it. * Prepares and consolidates five\-year, annual, quarterly, and monthly financial forecasts. * Monitors current performance, initiates and influences proactive or corrective actions regarding company resources where necessary. * Develops and improves computational models used to project, analyze, and control financial development operations. * Reviews transactions and routinely verifies accounts so that when deviations from established accounting practices occur, investigates and documents these incidents to enable corrective actions; recommends preventive controls. * Implements and administers accounting and administrative controls; evaluates operational and financial controls and recommends and implements improvements where the company's interests and/or efficiency are at risk. * Identifies potential improvements in operational areas and alerts operational managers to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of company operations; works jointly with management to develop and implement operational improvements. * Establishes and maintains an effective and efficient system for transferring funds between North American and Mexican banks; responsible for the accurate and concise maintenance of the company's bank accounts. * Ensures compliance of accounting systems and procedures with company policies, rules, accounting standards, and tax codes. * Supports general management in evaluating financial aspects of business projects (e.g., cash flow, asset utilization, capital requirements, cost reduction), and recommends appropriate actions to be taken on these matters. **Education and Experience** * Professional degree in accounting or equivalent. * 7 years of experience in financial leadership roles. **Required Competencies** * Knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. * Knowledge of treasury processes. * Knowledge of payroll processes. * Knowledge of taxation. * Solid understanding of USGAAP and NIIF. * Knowledge of Section 404 of the Sarbanes\-Oxley Act. * Understanding of financial statements. * Leadership. * Effective communication. * Ability to work under pressure. * Negotiation skills. * Bilingual in English\-Spanish. **Awareness, Unity, Empowerment:** ---------------------------------- At Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
