Description

**About Us:** **About Kashio** At **Kashio**, we build financial technology to help businesses adopt digital payments and automate their **Accounts Receivable (AR)** and **Accounts Payable (AP)** operations. We already support over **500 customers** across education, finance, real estate, utilities, and more, and are preparing to launch in **five Latin American markets**. We’re building a **secure, intuitive, and high-performance platform**; our culture values **ownership**, **collaboration**, **continuous learning**, and **impact**. **The Challenge** We’re looking for a **Cloud Engineer** to drive the evolution of our SaaS infrastructure toward a **100% cloud-native, secure, scalable, and automated architecture**. You’ll be responsible for building, optimizing, and monitoring the infrastructure supporting thousands of financial transactions—ensuring **high availability, resilience, performance, and security**, as well as seamless integration with the payment services and financial process automation we provide. Your work will empower our engineering teams to deploy confidently, operate with full visibility, and scale critical services agilely. **What You’ll Do** * Design, implement, and maintain the **cloud infrastructure** (primarily AWS) supporting Kashio’s microservices and core modules. * Automate environment provisioning and configuration using **IaC (Terraform or CDK)**, ensuring consistency, reproducibility, and version control. * Manage and optimize **end-to-end observability** (logging, metrics, tracing, alerts) to guarantee service availability and performance. * Administer **CI/CD pipelines** (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar), implementing secure, efficient workflows with automated deployments. * Implement **cloud security practices** (secret management, KMS, IAM, access policies, network security, OWASP/PCI DSS awareness). * Actively contribute to continuous improvement of the **infrastructure stack**, evaluating new technologies and patterns (Serverless, Containers, Event-driven). * Collaborate with **Backend, Data, and AI teams** to optimize workloads, pipelines, and deployments of intelligent services (scoring, automation, anomaly detection). * Create and maintain clear, up-to-date **technical documentation** (architecture diagrams, deployment and monitoring playbooks). * Promote **operational resilience practices**: failure testing, backups, disaster recovery planning (DRP), and cloud cost control. **Our Stack (non-exhaustive)** * **Cloud:** AWS (ECS/EKS, Lambda, EC2, S3, API Gateway, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, Step Functions, KMS). * **IaC:** Terraform, AWS CDK, Ansible. * **Containers:** Docker, Kubernetes, Helm. * **CI/CD:** GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, ArgoCD. * **Observability:** CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, ELK, OpenTelemetry. * **Networking/Security:** VPC, WAF, Security Groups, Route 53, IAM, Secrets Manager, KMS. * **Databases:** PostgreSQL/MySQL, DynamoDB, Redis. * **Languages & Scripting:** Python, Node.js, Bash. * **MLOps (desirable):** SageMaker, MLflow, Airflow or Kubeflow. **Must-Have Requirements** * **3+ years** of experience as a **Cloud Engineer / DevOps / SRE** in **SaaS or FinTech environments**. * Strong proficiency in **AWS** (ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, API Gateway, CloudWatch, IAM). * Proven experience with **Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CDK)**. * Solid knowledge of **CI/CD**, **containers**, **Kubernetes**, and **Docker**. * Experience with **observability, monitoring, and structured logging**. * Knowledge of **cloud security**: IAM, access policies, encryption, KMS, secrets management. * Familiarity with **event-driven architectures and microservices**. * Ability to debug and resolve production incidents (performance, scalability, availability). * Intermediate technical English (reading documentation and basic technical communication). **Nice-to-Have** * **AWS Solutions Architect / DevOps Engineer / SysOps** certification. * Experience with **GCP or Azure**. * Experience with **Kafka, RabbitMQ**, or message/event queue systems. * Knowledge of **PCI DSS, ISO 27001**, or compliance in financial environments. * Experience optimizing cloud costs (FinOps). * Contributions to open-source projects or public repositories. * Experience collaborating with development and AI teams on model deployment (MLOps). **Who Fits Well Here** * **Owns deliverables**, embracing a “you build it, you run it” mindset. * **Curious** about continuously automating and improving infrastructure. * **Rigorous about security and reliability** in every change. * **Collaborative and empathetic** with development, operations, and product teams. * **Clear communicator**, capable of documenting and sharing knowledge. * Comfortable with change, rapid iteration, and ambiguity. **Conditions** * **100% remote**. * **Working hours:** Mon–Fri, 09:00–18:00 (GMT-5). * Participation in the company’s **Stock Options program**. * A real opportunity to **directly impact** the platform used by hundreds of companies and to **grow** alongside a high-performing regional team. **Are You Motivated?** Send your **CV** to **recruitment@kashio.net**, with subject line: **Cloud Engineer**. If you have **public repositories**, **deployed infrastructure**, or examples of automation, please share them! Job Type: Full-time Salary: $2,000.00 – $3,000.00 per month Application Question(s): * Working hours are Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM, and the salary range is USD 2000 to 2500, depending on interview performance (possibility of salary adjustment after 3 months of employment).
