




At STERIS, we help our Customers create a healthier and safer world by providing innovative healthcare and life science product and service solutions around the globe. **Position Summary** -------------------- Responsible for verifying the final and in-process quality of production line products and rejecting those that do not meet the required technical specifications using measurement instruments, equipment, or reference documents; additionally, supporting the quality system through audits to ensure compliance with defined quality standards, regulations, and requirements. **Duties** ---------- * Conducts inspections using procedures, documents, work instructions, engineering drawings, regulations, and work methods (DHR, checklists, inspection records, etc.). * Accepts or rejects material in accordance with established requirements. * Uses measurement equipment to perform inspections (e.g., calipers, micrometers, tape measures, etc.) as applicable to the process. * Identifies and segregates rejected material in designated areas and documents the reason for rejection. * Inspects in-process and finished product material to ensure compliance with quality standards specified in relevant documents. * Conducts supplier inspections when necessary. * Performs audits in assigned areas or processes. * Complies with safety standards and internal workplace regulations. * Performs additional tasks to meet company needs. * Performs activities related to DHR assignment, welding and accessories checklists, records test book serial numbers, and verifies UDI labels. * Only in the calibration area: performs calibration and management of measurement equipment used in the process. * Only in the welding area: complies with ASME, PED, and SELO standards regarding training, competencies, medical examinations, etc. * Only in the welding area: conducts non-destructive testing inspections such as liquid penetrant testing, magnetic particle testing, etc. **Duties \- cont'd** -------------------- **Education Degree** -------------------- * High School Diploma or GED * Associate's Degree **Required Experience** ----------------------- * Two (2) years of experience in manufacturing companies as a quality inspector. * Two (2) years of experience operating measurement equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, verniers, etc.). * Ability to interpret engineering drawings, procedures, and quality regulations. * Proficiency in computer operation. * Administration and completion of quality records. * In the welding area: knowledge of and compliance with ASME and PED standards regarding competencies, training, etc. **Preferred Experience** ------------------------ **Skills** ---------- * Ability to make acceptance/rejection decisions. * Visual acuity for physical criteria comparison. * Capability to conduct audits and identify findings.
