Combining a deep systems knowledge to develop unique vehicle access experiences, intelligent visions systems and advanced automotive lighting technologies, MML's expertise light the path to innovation, safety and styling.**Job Responsibilities:** Design and develop new extrusion processes to improve product quality and operational efficiency. Understand given designs and specific tooling to achieve complex and precise geometric profiles. Adjust critical machine parameters—such as screw speed, barrel zone temperatures, and pressure—to reduce waste. Troubleshoot technical issues during production, such as material bubbles, thickness variations, or die buildup; resin ratio control during coextrusion. Validate and analyze production reports to ensure compliance with the customer’s program requirements for safety, quality, and delivery. Conduct laboratory tests to evaluate polymer resistance, flexibility, and durability under extreme automotive usage conditions. Implement improvements to maximize output rate and minimize virgin resin usage without compromising part integrity. Participate in improvement programs under standards such as IATF 16949 and ISO 14001, typical of the automotive sector. Coordinate predictive and preventive maintenance programs for extrusion lines. Provide technical training and support to operational staff and line technicians. Select appropriate materials (polymers, additives, colorants) based on cost and functionality required by technical specifications. Interpret technical drawings to support assembly/disassembly of components comprising the line. Ability to liaise with suppliers and foreign design engineering teams for failure clarification and validation of potential solutions. Ideally\- Use design software (e.g., SolidWorks or process simulation tools) to model prototypes and tooling.
