The **Regional International Organization for Agricultural Health (OIRSA)**, through its Representation in Mexico, is seeking an **Accounting and Administrative Assistant** to join its team and provide support in accounting and administrative activities in accordance with institutional guidelines. **Position Requirements** * **Education:** University graduate in Public Accounting (**DEGREE AND PROFESSIONAL LICENSE REQUIRED**). * **Experience:** Minimum of 3 to 5 years in similar positions, preferably leading accounting departments. * **Availability:** Ability to work under pressure, especially during closing periods or audits. **Required Competencies and Knowledge** * **Accounting:** Accounting records and preparation of Financial Statements * **Accounting Cycle Management:** Recording of accounting transactions (journal entries, income and expenses), bank reconciliations, and monthly and annual closings. * **Financial Statement Preparation:** Preparation of the Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement, and Statement of Changes in Equity. * **Tax Compliance:** Calculation and filing of applicable taxes (VAT, Income Tax, withholdings) and response to tax authority requests. * **Cost and Budget Control:** Monitoring budget variances and proposing resource optimization measures. * **Auditing and Internal Control:** Coordination of internal and external audits. * **Fixed Asset Control:** Maintaining updated fixed asset records and systems for the Representation, depreciation calculations, and semiannual fixed asset inventories. * **Accounting Files:** Managing accounting files and other documents stored in the external warehouse and the Representation building, in accordance with institutional policies**.** * **Accounts Receivable and Payable Control:** Preparing account receivable and payable balance reconciliations; issuing and analyzing aging reports. * **Invoices:** Issuing monthly CFDIs **REQUIRED COMPETENCIES**: **\- Technical Proficiency:** Accounting knowledge and familiarity with Financial Reporting Standards (NIF) or Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). **\- Specialized Software:** Advanced proficiency in accounting software, preferably ERPs (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics), and Office suite (advanced Excel). **\- Strategic Vision:** Ability to interpret data and project financial scenarios. **\- Regulatory Updates:** Current knowledge of labor, commercial, and tax legislation. **\- Teamwork:** Ability and willingness to work collaboratively, especially under pressure during accounting closings. **Benefits Offered** * **Benefits exceeding statutory requirements**. * Working hours: **Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.** * **Contract** with probationary period. * Opportunity to join an **international organization** with strong institutional commitment. **Application** Interested candidates must send their **updated curriculum vitae** to: jledesma@oirsa.org **Email subject line:** *Accounting and Administrative Assistant* Employment type: Full-time Salary: $20,000\.00 \- $20,500\.00 per month Workplace: On-site employment
