Job Summary: Ensure efficient and reliable operation of the network infrastructure by managing and resolving issues to maintain optimal connectivity and security. Key Responsibilities: 1. Proactively monitor and analyze network health and performance. 2. Manage routers, switches, and network devices. 3. Stay updated on emerging network trends and technologies. GENERAL JOB OBJECTIVE Ensure the efficient and reliable operation of IENTC's network infrastructure. This includes actively monitoring and managing the network to prevent and resolve issues, guarantee service availability and performance, coordinate with technical teams and vendors, and contribute to continuous infrastructure improvement to maintain optimal connectivity and security. FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Proactively monitor and analyze network health, performance, and availability. 2. Detect and resolve network issues such as outages, congestion, or performance degradation. 3. Coordinate with technical support teams and vendors to resolve issues. 4. Manage and respond to alarms and alerts generated by monitoring systems. 5. Maintain and update network documentation, including topology and configurations. 6. Administer routers, switches, and other network devices. 7. Provide technical support to WISP and Carrier customers in case of connectivity issues. 8. Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in networking and telecommunications. 9. Conduct incident analysis and post-mortems to identify root causes and prevent recurrence. 10. Oversee IP address administration and subnet allocation. EDUCATION Bachelor's degree in Computer Systems Engineering, Telematics Engineering, Information and Communication Technologies Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or Information Sciences and Technologies, or related field. EXPERIENCE: NOC Engineers must possess advanced knowledge of networks, communication protocols, operating systems, information security, server administration, and monitoring tools. Additionally, they must stay informed about technological trends and advancements in networking and telecommunications.
