DESCRIPTION **Instrumentation and Control Engineer** ------------------------------------------ **Position:** Instrumentation and Control Engineer **Department:** Engineering / Projects **Availability:** Immediate ### **Position Objective** Develop basic and detailed engineering for instrumentation, control, and telecommunications systems, ensuring proper equipment specification, signal integration, preparation of technical documentation, and compliance with applicable standards for industrial projects. ### **Key Responsibilities** * Interpret and analyze **P&ID** (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) to correctly define instruments and control signals. * Prepare and update **instrument lists**, including specifications and technical characteristics. * Develop **I/O signal lists**, wiring diagrams, interconnection diagrams, and other associated documentation. * Prepare **instrument and control equipment data sheets**, ensuring compliance with process requirements and project standards. * Compile **concept catalogs** related to instrumentation, control, and special systems. * Participate in the development of **basic and detailed engineering** for control, automation, and telecommunications systems. * Design and define **access control**, **CCTV**, **voice and data** systems, as well as their integration with existing control platforms. * Review technical documentation from vendors and contractors to ensure compliance with project specifications. * Coordinate with disciplines such as process, electrical, civil, mechanical, and telecommunications to ensure proper engineering integration. * Provide technical support during construction, installation, and commissioning of systems when required. ### **Requirements** * Degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Control Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field. * Experience in developing basic and detailed engineering for instrumentation and control. * Solid knowledge of reading and interpreting **P&ID**. * Proficiency with design tools and specialized software (e.g., AutoCAD, SPI/INtools, EPLAN, Advanced Excel, or similar). * Knowledge of applicable standards and regulations (ISA, API, IEC, NEC, etc.). * Experience in designing CCTV, voice and data, and access control systems (desirable). * Ability to prepare technical documents and coordinate multidisciplinary information. ### **Competencies** * Attention to detail and quality orientation. * Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability. * Organization, time management, and deliverable tracking. * Effective communication and collaborative teamwork.
