Installation and calibration of fiber optic test equipment **VACANCY: FIBER OPTIC MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN** A leading telecommunications company is seeking a **FIBER OPTIC MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN** to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on fiber optic infrastructure, ensuring quality, continuity, and availability of telecommunications services for customers. Vacancies: 2 Location: Cd. Valles, San Luis Potosí Age: 18–45 years **Duties and Responsibilities:** * Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of fiber optic networks (FTTH/FTTx) * Detect and repair network faults, fiber cuts, connectivity issues, and signal problems * Fiber splicing, connectorization, and continuity and attenuation testing * Install, maintain, and calibrate fiber optic test equipment (OTDRs, power meters, etc.) * Review and maintain maintenance logs and technical reports * Coordinate with technical support, NOC, and installation teams to resolve incidents * Comply with industrial safety standards and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) * Maintain tools, equipment, and work materials in good condition **Requirements:** * Minimum education: High school diploma or technical degree in telecommunications, electronics, or related fields * Experience in fiber optic installation and maintenance (preferred) * Knowledge of structured cabling, splicing, and fiber optic testing * Availability for fieldwork * Physical capability and ability to work at heights (where applicable) **Competencies:** * Analytical and problem-solving skills * Teamwork * Responsibility and punctuality * Results- and quality-oriented mindset * Attention to detail Employment Type: Full-time, indefinite-term contract Salary: $11,000\.00 \- $12,503\.00 per month Benefits: * Free uniforms * Grocery vouchers Relocation/moving capability: * Ciudad Valles, S.
