We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our data analytics team at IDS Comercial, S.A. de C.V. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing advanced analytical models to enhance our commercial and strategic operations. **Data Scientist SR** **Requirements:** Bachelor's or graduate degree (**Master’s or Doctorate**) in scientific research-focused fields such as Physics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related disciplines. 5+ years of experience **Experience:** Python (Advanced). Strong foundation in statistics, particularly in ML models and metrics to evaluate their effectiveness. Solid experience in software development applying ML algorithms. Experience in ML operations with emphasis on MLOps. Experience conducting exploratory data analysis and discovering insights in data, as well as proposing potential root causes. Experience in result validation. Experience presenting results to user departments. Develop and maintain highly automated ML pipelines for training, validation, and large-scale model deployment. **Tools:** Jupyter Notebook Data Science platforms Advanced programming skills in Python and knowledge of ML libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn, etc. Knowledge of using and developing applications with LLMs (desirable) **Soft Skills:** Good communication, risk and results oriented. Strong sense of urgency, organized, self-management. Data-driven problem solving. **Responsibilities:** Design and develop statistical and machine learning models to solve complex problems in scientific and business environments. Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify patterns, trends, and significant relationships. Lead applied research projects from hypothesis formulation to result validation. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate predictive models into products and services. Implement reproducible data and model pipelines, ensuring traceability and result quality. Develop and apply advanced modeling techniques, such as deep neural networks, Bayesian models, and time series analysis. Document and communicate key findings in technical reports and scientific publications. Design validation and monitoring strategies to ensure model robustness and performance in production. Identify opportunities for scientific innovation through the use of data and new technologies. Propose data-driven solutions for specific business or research problems, aligned with the organization’s strategic objectives.
